Fisher Fires 6-0 Shutout in Generals Win
|
The Montego Bay Reefers were almost helpless today in their 6-0 loss to the Puerto Barrios Generals and hurler Brian Fisher. Fisher kept the Reefers confused all game, spinning a 4-hit shutout.
"Tip your hat to Fisher," Montego Bay manager said in his postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."
The 19-year-old right-hander had 2 walks and 5 strikeouts in a strong performance.
"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Fisher said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."
This year Fisher has gone 2-4 with an ERA of 2.88 and has 33 strikeouts in 56.1 innings.
