Nuts Whitewashed by Canavan
|
James Canavan held the Modesto Nuts to 6 hits and fashioned a fine 4-0 shutout at Del Webb Field today.
Speaking after the game, Bend Bandits manager said "Canavan had everything going for him today."
He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement," he said. "He was masterful."
Canavan rung up 1 strikeout and surrendered 3 walks in the game.
"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Modesto manager told reporters.
This season Canavan has been credited with 5 saves in 24 relief appearances. In 48.1 innings he has a 4-0 won-lost mark, 2.23 ERA and 46 strikeouts
