Hits Galore: Grimes Drills 5 Hits

Josh Grimes put on a hitting clinic today as the North Carolina Tar Heels dumped the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 11-8 at Ice Caps Ballpark.

The North Carolina third baseman made Wake Forest defenders earn their pay, lashing Wake Forest pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Grimes said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Josh Grimes hit a solo-shot off Matt Trace in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Matt Trace in the 5th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
