Astros Win at Chicago, 3-1
|
Houston Astros starter Jesus Rios turned in a top-notch performance against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field 1979. The result was a win for the Astros, 3-1. Houston is now 43-48, Chicago 44-50.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Christopher Clark? The Houston center fielder had a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to put the Astros on top, 3-0. For the game, Clark had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Clark said.
