Angels Post 3-2 Win Over New York
|
Getting an impressive start from Ray Fontenot, California beat New York by the score of 3-2. The winning pitcher was Fontenot, now 11-6. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 2. The win puts California at 59-36 this season.
It could have been a different outcome for California, had it not been for Mike Bishop, the 23-year old catcher . Bishop contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put California up, 3-0.
"Tough loss," said New York manager Corey Cashen. "But we'll learn from it."
