Orioles Win 7-6 Walk-Off
|
The Baltimore Orioles beat the Chicago White Sox, 7-6, at Memorial Stadium 1954. Baltimore second baseman Marty G Barrett had an outstanding performance. He went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The Orioles have now won 4 straight.
Steve R Ontiveros was the walk-off hero for Baltimore. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Orioles center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Orioles manager Ted Day. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
