White Sox Upend Orioles, 8-2
|
Chicago White Sox starter Bruce Kison was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Baltimore Orioles, 8-2. Kison, now 3-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. With the victory, the White Sox upped their record to 51-48.
Chicago relied on the hitting of Kevin McReynolds to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the White Sox on top, 3-0. For the game, McReynolds had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Bruce -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said White Sox manager Jorge . "He was the key to us winning."
