The Minnesota Twins defeated the Seattle Mariners, 6-5, at Kingdome 1977 today. Leading the charge for Minnesota was center fielder Chet Lemon. He went 2 for 4 with a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. With the win, Minnesota pushed its record to 59-43.

Lemon contributed in the top of the third. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Minnesota get the win.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Lemon.
