Bennett 6-for-7 for Tacoma HS
|
The 6th time was not the charm for Sean Bennett today.
The right fielder for the Tacoma HS Lions hit the milestone today at Lions Ballpark, but it was the San Mateo HS Birds that salvaged a 11-10 victory. Bennett finished with a 6-for-7 line at the plate, and it still wasn't enough.
"He was not an easy out, that's for sure," San Mateo HS manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "I'm just glad we held everybody else in check and got the win."
Bennett declined to speak to reporters at length following the game, saying only that "no loss is a good one."
Sean Bennett walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 9th, singled in the 10th and hit an RBI single in the 12th.\n
Currently Bennett is hitting .552 and has collected no home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 7 times, while playing in 7 games.
