Valenzuela Dazzles in 2-0 Texas Win
|
In a tight affair between the Texas Rangers and the New York Yankees, pitcher Fernando Valenzuela was in the zone. The Texas left-hander helped his team win the game, 2-0. Kent Tekulve was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 12 of 15 save opportunities. Texas is now 44-63, New York 54-52.
Valenzuela, now 11-6, scattered 4 hits over 7.1 innings for the Rangers.
