The Detroit Tigers picked up a win at Tiger Stadium 1980, knocking off the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-3. Starting pitcher Dennis Martinez was a big reason why. The win makes Detroit 52-60.

The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the third inning, when the Tigers were trailing 2-1. Andre Thornton delivered a two-out 2-run single for Detroit, catapulting his team into the lead.

"I felt good even in the late innings," said Martinez after the game.
