It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Eric Cooper today. Cooper went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Canton HS pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Kauffman Stadium, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Plymouth HS Buzzards had a 19-6 victory over the Gorillas.

"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.

Eric Cooper struck out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and walked in a run in the 9th.

So far in 1970 Cooper is batting .425 with no home runs, 21 RBIs and 31 runs scored. He has 48 hits in 113 at-bats and a .514 OBP.
