Klettke Homers Twice in 7-1 Red Sox Win
|
Led by Kevin Klettke, the Boston Red Sox defeated the Toronto Blue Jays, 7-1. Klettke slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Red Sox. The first-place Red Sox, at 75-37, now lead their division by 8 games.
It could have been a different outcome for Boston, had it not been for Richie Zisk, the 33-year old center fielder . Zisk contributed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put Boston up, 2-1.
Zisk called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
