Sarabia Now 1-0 After Subduing Tigers
|
Kansas City picked up a win at Tiger Stadium 1980, toppling the Detroit Tigers, 6-0. Pitcher Marco Sarabia was one of the reasons the Royals triumphed. Detroit falls to 7-5.
Sarabia, who dominated for Kansas City, earned the victory to move to 1-0. He was in control the whole game, scattering 1 hit over 7.1 innings, while striking out 8. Detroit batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"I liked his command," said Kansas City manager Luca Mac Craken. "Marco was throwing strikes."
