Blue Jays Suffer 5-3 Loss to New York
|
The Toronto Blue Jays got a superb performance from pitcher Dane Anthony. Still, it wasn't enough to beat New York. The Yankees won the game, 5-3. Anthony threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. Camilo Aprgio, credited with the save, is now 7 for 11 in save opportunities. With the win, New York upped its record to 65-57.
New York center fielder Willie Wilson contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a 2-run single. It was his 114th hit of the season and put the Yankees ahead, 2-1.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Wilson.
