Orioles Earn 3-2 Win Against Blue Jays
|
The Orioles grabbed a win, 3-2, at Memorial Stadium 1954, overcoming a fine effort from Toronto pitcher John Marshall. Marshall went 6 innings and allowed no runs. The victory puts Baltimore at 44-81.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the 19th, an error by the Blue Jays allowed the Orioles to score the winning run.
"Tough loss," said Toronto manager Randy Potter. "But we'll learn from it."
