Yankee Stadium 1976 was the site of a competitive game between the Minnesota Twins and New York Yankees.

In a low-scoring affair between the New York Yankees and the Minnesota Twins, pitcher Mike Parrott was the difference between victory and defeat. The New York right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Yankees win. Manny Sarmiento was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 9 of 12 save opportunities.

The Yankees got a big at-bat from center fielder Willie Wilson. For the game, Wilson was 1 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 21st double of the season gave New York a 2-1 lead.

"Mike is tough when he's hitting his spots," said New York manager Corey Cashen.

With the win, New York upped its record to 67-58.
