Blue Jays Trip Orioles, 6-3, in Extra Innings
|
The bat of Chad Daley helped the Toronto Blue Jays top the Baltimore Orioles, 6-3. Daley was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for Toronto. With the win, Toronto upped its record to 79-50.
Toronto used the timely hitting of Andres Galarraga to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Daley said after the game.
