Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Rangers
|
The Cleveland Spiders got a superb performance from pitcher Jose DeLeon, but the Texas Rangers still won the game, 6-5. DeLeon threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball. The victory makes Texas 6-7.
Texas won the game in the bottom of the 14th inning. With two outs and Omar Huaman on the mound for Cleveland, center fielder Ron Roenicke hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Rangers fans to their feet.
"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Zach Redpath.
