White Sox Drop Orioles, 4-3
|
The Baltimore Orioles got a sterling performance from pitcher Jim Clancy, but the Chicago White Sox still prevailed, 4-3. Clancy threw 9 innings of 6-hit ball. Dave Rozema got the win, improving to 1-1. He worked 9 innings, giving up 3 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. The Orioles, at 3-10, have stumbled out of the gate.
Ryan MacFarland, the 31-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. MacFarland contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Chicago up, 2-0.
"The vibe's good," said Chicago manager Jorge . "We've got to keep it going."
