Orioles Prevail, 3-2, Over New York
|
The Baltimore Orioles picked up a win at Memorial Stadium 1954, knocking off the New York Yankees, 3-2. On the mound for Baltimore was right-hander Don Robinson, who played a pivotal role in the win. The victory puts Baltimore at 50-94.
In the bottom of the third, Baltimore left fielder Dave Parker had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Parker stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-1, Baltimore. For the game, he was 1 for 3.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Parker said.
