Holtzman Finds Groove in 3-1 Triumph
In a low-scoring contest, St. Louis pitcher Ken Holtzman was marvelous in his team's 3-1 win. St. Louis now has a record of 74-70 with the win.

Holtzman, who dominated for St. Louis, earned the victory to move to 10-11. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 4. Philadelphia batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"Tough loss," said Philadelphia manager Arlo Zimmerman. "But we'll learn from it."
