Angels Score Late to Upend White Sox, 3-1
|
Raimundo Michel never let the White Sox get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his forkball, to pitch the Angels to a win, 3-1. California has now won 8 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for California, had it not been for Rafael Ramirez, the 24-year old second baseman . Ramirez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put California up, 1-0.
Afterward, Angels manager Zim Padres was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
