Seattle picked up a win at Kingdome 1977, bumping off the Texas Rangers, 5-2. Pitcher Tommy John was a major reason the Mariners emerged victorious. In 9 innings, John surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. With the win, Seattle pushed its record to 86-62.
