Curt Heidenreich Hurls No-No Against Tulsa
|
Is it better to be lucky or good?
After leading the Denver Bears to victory, 2-0, and tossing a no-hitter over the Tulsa Drillers, Curt Heidenreich didn't have the answer.
"I don't know," Heidenreich said. "To do what I did today, I'm pretty sure it takes both."
On his big day at Mile High Stadium, Heidenreich fanned 9 and had 2 walks. And it seemed that when the Drillers managed to hit the ball hard, it went right at a defender.
"That's how you get a no-hitter," Heidenreich said with a smile. "A lot of skill mixed with a little luck."
