Montague Now 1-2 After Subduing White Sox
The Baltimore Orioles got a stellar performance from pitcher John Montague, who handcuffed the Chicago offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Memorial Stadium 1954. The Orioles, with just their 4th win in 15 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.

Montague delivered a quality start for Baltimore. The 6' 2" right-hander allowed no earned runs on 5 hits over 7.1 innings of work.

Montague said he was "thrilled" the fans had something to get excited about.
