Twins Score Late to Upend Tigers, 7-3
The home crowd had a good time watching the Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins get after it.

The Minnesota Twins beat the Detroit Tigers, 7-3. Minnesota pitcher and San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic, native Mauricio Valdivia led the way. Minnesota reliever Stephen Fuller picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Dave McNally shouldered the loss.

Minnesota took a 5-3 lead on Tom Brown's 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Detroit pitcher Dave McNally in the bottom of the eighth.

Brown called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."

Minnesota, now 13-7, has gotten their season off to a good start.
