Langston Blanks Wichita, 4-0
|
Mark Langston of the Oklahoma City 89ers was on fire against the Wichita Aeros at All Sports Stadium today. He shut them out 4-0 on 2 hits, collecting 8 strikeouts and allowing 5 walks.
"The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Langston said later. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that."
This year Langston has compiled a 5-3 record with a 3.28 ERA in 9 starts.
