Yanus Hurls Tidewater to Shutout Win
It wasn't easy but the Tidewater Tides made it look that way.

Starter Bud Yanus shut out the Rochester Red Wings despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Tidewater Tides cruised to victory, 2-0. Yanus allowed only 2 hits and rang up 7 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."
