Sanchez Tosses 2-0 Shutout Against Syracuse
The Rochester Red Wings did little to support starter Nelson Sanchez against the Syracuse Chiefs, but it turned out he didn't need the help.

The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Chiefs, striking out 5 and surrendering 2 hits. The performance from Sanchez allowed Rochester to escape with the 2-0 win despite an anemic offense.

"Nobody came to me and said 'Nelson, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Sanchez told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."

His record this year is 5-3 in 9 starts and Sanchez has a 2.45 ERA.
