Louisville Shuts Out Rochester, 2-0
|
Mark Thurmond kept the Rochester Red Wings hitters from doing any damage at Silver Stadium today.
Rochester could only muster 4 hits and take 3 walks against the left-handed Thurmond, who controlled them throughout the game as Louisville took the contest, 2-0. Thurmond added 6 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.
"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Thurmond told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
This year Thurmond has fanned 56 in 112 innings and collected a 8-5 record with a 2.01 ERA.
