The Rochester Red Wings did little to support starter Nelson Sanchez against the Toledo Mud Hens, but it turned out he didn't need the help.

The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Mud Hens, striking out 7 and surrendering 3 hits. The performance from Sanchez allowed Rochester to escape with the 3-0 win despite an anemic offense.

"Nobody came to me and said 'Nelson, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Sanchez told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."

This season Sanchez has compiled a 11-3 mark, 2.27 ERA and made 17 starts.
