The Detroit Tigers topped the Minnesota Twins, 6-4, in American League action at Tiger Stadium 1980. The standout performance belonged to Detroit pitcher and Billings, Montana, native Dave McNally. In 9 innings, McNally surrendered 11 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. He allowed 4 runs. With the win, Detroit upped its record to 19-16.
