The Dallas-Fort Worth Rangers were almost helpless today in their 4-0 loss to the Shreveport Braves and hurler Andre Treadway. Treadway kept the Rangers confused all game, spinning a 6-hit shutout.

"Tip your hat to Treadway," Dallas-Fort Worth manager said in his postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."

The 20-year-old right-hander had 2 walks and 5 strikeouts in a strong performance.

"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Treadway said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."

This season Treadway has a 3-1 record with a 2.41 ERA in 5 starts.
