White Sox Deal Rangers 6-5 Loss
|
Despite a great performance by Texas third baseman Richie Hebner, the Chicago White Sox defeated the Rangers by the score of 6-5 at Comiskey Park 1969. Hebner was 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. With the victory, the White Sox upped their record to 21-16.
With a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the tenth, Dwayne Taggart delivered the knockout blow when he hit a run-scoring single to win it for Chicago. In the contest, Taggart went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We found a way to get it done," Taggart said.
