Royals Win, 3-2, at Chicago
|
In a low-scoring clash between Kansas City and Chicago, pitcher Frank Viola was a difference-maker. The left-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 win. Kansas City is 5th in the American League West Division with a record of 20-22.
It could have been a different outcome for Kansas City, had it not been for Alberto Gonzalez, the 24-year old shortstop . Gonzalez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Kansas City up, 3-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Gonzalez said.
