Morgan Fires Shutout in Miami Victory
The Miami Whales shut out the Pompano Beach Stingrays 1-0 today behind the strong pitching of Daniel Morgan. Morgan surrendered only 4 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 10.

Following the last out, Morgan appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Pompano Beach manager , who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Morgan's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart.

The Stingrays skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the Whales press conference, Morgan confirmed that it was regarding the celebration.

"He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Morgan said.

"And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Miami manager added.

On his stats sheet this season Morgan shows a 5-0 record, 5 starts, 45 innings, 39 strikeouts and a 1.40 ERA.
