California Beats Toronto, 4-0
|
California picked up a win at Exhibition Stadium 1977, toppling the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-0. Pitcher Raimundo Michel was one of the reasons the Angels triumphed. The win elevated the Angels to 33-24.
It could have been a different outcome for California, had it not been for Ralph Garr, the 13-year veteran . Garr contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning to put California up, 2-0.
Garr called the win "a team effort."
