6-for-6 Game for Cotto
|
After a 6-hit effort to lead Anderson's 8-6 victory over the Spartanburg Spartans, right fielder Henry Cotto told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."
"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Western Carolinas League-level is really something special."
The 21-year-old player earned his accolades today at Duncan Park with a spectacular 6-for-6 game against the Spartans.
"His swing is getting there," said Rebels skipper , who spoke glowingly of Cotto after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Henry did that to perfection today."
Henry Cotto singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
So far this season Cotto is hitting .324 with 1 home run.
