Balboni Hits 2 home runs in Rangers Win
|
Texas first baseman Steve Balboni had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Minnesota Twins, 5-3. Ben Hayes snagged the win in relief. In 2.1 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits. He's now 2-2 on the season. Texas now has a record of 28-28 with the win.
Balboni had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-1 changeup from Stephen Fuller, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Rangers a 5-3 lead. It was the 20th home run of the year for Balboni.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Balboni told the Texas Citizen.
