Clinton Shuts Out Decatur, 3-0
|
Clinton Pilots hurler Bob Patterson was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Decatur Commodores, shutting them out 3-0 on 5 hits.
"Bob was very aggressive tonight," Clinton manager said. "He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."
Through 9 innings, Patterson tallied 6 strikeouts and allowed no walks.
"He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well," losing manager said. "Patterson has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that off-speed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."
For the season Patterson has logged 7 wins and 7 losses and struck out 66 batters in 116 innings while compiling a 3.88 ERA.
