6-Hit Barrage by Dixon
Roy Dixon was at the head of a Sioux Falls Packers hit parade today at Watertown Stadium. The 24-year-old went to the plate 7 times and came away with 6 hits, but it was the Watertown Bucks that marched off with the 11-10 win.

"We didn't have it today," griped Packers skipper following the game. "Roy did fine, but as a team, we didn't do it with the bats and we didn't do it pitching."

Dixon did more than fine, dominating the Bucks at the plate during his record-making 6-for-7 performance.

"Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging center fielder told reporters. "When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats."

Roy Dixon grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 11th, singled in the 12th and singled in the 14th.

This year Dixon is batting .438 with 2 home runs.
