Late Rally by White Sox Locks Up 4-2 Win
|
Chicago White Sox starter Ray Corbin was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Oakland Athletics, 4-2. With the win, the White Sox have a record of 33-29.
Chicago used the timely hitting of Tim Teufel to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the White Sox on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was a good effort all around," said Teufel.
