Brewers Lose to Orioles, 4-3
|
The Baltimore Orioles beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-3. Baltimore pitcher and Ashland, California, native Don Robinson led the way. The winning pitcher was Robinson, now 9-15. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 4. Dave LaRoche was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 11 of 13 save opportunities.
Baltimore used the bat of Dave Parker to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Orioles ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Wish we'd had more wins to celebrate like this one," said Robinson.
The win puts Baltimore at 56-98.
