Brewers Suffer 5-1 Loss to Boston
|
The Boston Red Sox picked up a win at Fenway Park 1976, knocking off the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-1. On the mound for Boston was left-hander Phil Nastu, who played a pivotal role in the win. Boston is now 105-52, 13½ games up in the American League East Division.
Richie Zisk, who finished 4th in the NL in triples with 12 in 1971, chipped in for Boston with a solo home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Nastu said after the game.
