The Cleveland Spiders got a stellar effort from pitcher Jose DeLeon, helping Cleveland score a win over the visiting New York Yankees, 11-2. Omar Huaman was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 20 save opportunities. The victory gives Cleveland a record of 81-76.

Cleveland took a 4-1 lead on Kevin Bell's 18th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off New York pitcher Paul Moskau in the bottom of the seventh.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Bell told the Cleveland Observer.
