The Blacksburg Tribe whipped the Kingsport Cherokees 4-0 at Tribe Yard today behind a masterful outing from starter Fernando Perez.
Perez shut out the Cherokees on 1 hit and 1 walk. He registered 9 strikeouts over 9 innings.
"Velocity felt good, everything felt good today," a smiling Perez said later. "Command felt good, conditions felt good, glove felt good, hat felt good. Seriously everything."
