Spiders Rally For 6-4 Win
|
The Cleveland Spiders picked up a win at Cleveland Stadium 1980, knocking off the Baltimore Orioles, 6-4. Starting pitcher Vinny Mendoza was a big reason why. The 4th-place Spiders improved to 34-36.
Cleveland took a 6-4 lead on Tom Brunansky's 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Baltimore pitcher Dave LaRoche in the bottom of the eighth.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Cleveland manager Sean Torgerson.
