O'Neal Fashions Shutout Against Blue Jays
|
In a remarkable performance, Williamsport Greys starter Randy O'Neal beat the Utica Blue Jays 5-0 in an impressive 2-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Greys hurler finished with 5 strikeouts and 2 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Utica manager said following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
For the season O'Neal has logged 7 wins and 2 losses and struck out 48 batters in 88.1 innings while compiling a 3.57 ERA.
