New York first baseman Kent Hrbek had a 6-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Cleveland Spiders, 10-1. With the win, New York pushed its record to 38-34.

In the first inning, Hrbek had a 2-run home run for New York. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Yankees on top, 2-0.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Hrbek told the New York Gazette.
